Fujita Kanko Group has two main hotel brands under its umbrella. One is the well-known Washington Hotel series, with numerous locations in Japan. The other is the Gracery Hotel, and Taipei Gracery opened at September 2021. The Gracery Hotel in Shinjuku is famously nicknamed the Godzilla Hotel because it sports a life-sized Godzilla model outside.
The hotel lobby is situated on the third floor, and there’s an underground parking lot available. As it’s not self-operated, we currently offer discounted rates for parking, and unfortunately, free parking is not available at the moment.
Access Control: To reach the room floors, card access is required for entry.
Bathroom: Embracing the style of Japanese, the bathroom features a bathtub and a seated shower area. The hotel provides bathing amenities from the DHC brand.
Hotel Disposable Amenities: Placed in the corridor on each floor, making your stay more convenient.
Appliances: The main household electronic devices in the room are from the Chimei brand. And, of course, no Japanese-style hotel room is complete without an air purifier. The hairdryer is provided by the TESCOM brand.
Breakfast: I missed out on it last time, but having the breakfast package this time is truly worthwhile. Their breakfast is incredibly sincere, filled with authentic Japanese style, and to top it off, there’s also Taiwanese-style shaved ice (枝仔冰) for an extra local flavor.
Looking over from the Huashan 1914 Creative Park, you can spot the gigantic Godzilla poster outside the hotel.
3F Hotel Lobby
The hotel lobby spans the first and second floors, hosting commercial spaces for businesses downstairs, currently featuring a bank and a coffee shop. The lobby offers a simple relaxation area, and a reading zone, and hotel restaurant and coin-operated laundry facilities on this floor.
The hotel lobby is equipped with luggage scales for your convenience.On the bookshelves, you’ll find a collection of books in both Chinese and Japanese.
Hotel room corridors
From the corridor of one of the hotel rooms, you can catch a glimpse of the hotel’s main style. The Gracery Hotel adopts a warm wooden theme, maintaining a bright and inviting atmosphere.
Unlike other hotels that place amenities in the lobby, our hotel places them directly in the corridor on each floor. So, if you forget to grab something, you won’t have to go too far.Bottled water is conveniently placed on the side for guests continuing their stay to help themselves.Disposable amenities
Each floor is equipped with a carbon dioxide sensor, and a reading of around three hundred PPM is indeed quite low, similar to the natural background levels in the atmosphere. It’s evident that the hotel places a high emphasis on ventilation.
ROOM
Floor Plan Inside the RoomThe hotel offers two design options for rooms. In one, the washbasin is located in the corridor, while in the other, similar to this one, the washbasin is inside the bathroom.Next to the bed is a sofa and a writing desk. I’ve stayed at the Shinjuku branch before; the overall space here is even larger than the Gracery Hotel in Shinjuku. The room is divided into two areas with carpet and wood.This time, I stayed in a room with a large bed, but the hotel also offered rooms with two small beds.

Compared to the United States, there are relatively few hotels in Taiwan that offer self-service laundry facilities.
There are self-service washing machines and dryers on the third floor.
Japanese-style breakfast
This time, breakfast is included, unlike last time when I missed it. It’s truly generous and thoughtful. What’s more, they serve their signature popsicle. A Japanese person nearby saw me enjoying it and went to the freezer to grab two for themselves – a kind of unspoken international diplomacy. Sampling the breakfast crowd, it’s mostly Japanese guests, followed by those from Hong Kong.
Inside the restaurant, there’s also a scaled-down version of Godzilla.
