Within the Hoshino Resorts portfolio, “1955 Tokyo Bay” operates as an independent brand. The building itself is quite new, having operated under the Tokyu brand in 2018. After Hoshino Resorts took over, they enhanced the services to better cater to guests seeking a resort experience.

The entire brand concept is set in 1955, the era when Disneyland opened in America, featuring a lot of American-style decor and color schemes. Due to its proximity to Tokyo Disney Resort, it offers complimentary shuttle services for guests heading to Disneyland, along with various supporting services to make the trip more convenient for park-goers, such as a breakfast restaurant that opens as early as 6 AM.
