- The Grand HiLaiTaipei has a total of 425 rooms. It has the most rooms out in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center area within walking distance. It will be the best options for you when you attend the expo in Taiwan TAINEX HALL 1 and 2.
- Location: The Grand HiLaiTaipei is next to the Nangang Exhibition Center. It’s just a three-minute walk from Hall 1.
- Getting around: The hotel’s close to the Nangang Exhibition Center MRT station. If you’re driving, it’s really easy to get anywhere from here. You can hop on the No. 2 Freeway to head to Yilan. Don’t worry about it being in Nangang – it’s super convenient! Thanks to all the great transport links nearby, it’s a breeze to get to places like Neihu, Xinyi District, or Xizhi. This makes it an awesome spot for business meetings.
- Room sizes: The smallest room is about 44 square meters (that’s 13.3 ping in local measurements). The suites are bigger, at around 59 square meters (17.9 ping). During winter, the hotel keeps things cozy with central heating.
- Business facilities: The hotel has a separate conference center on a different floor from the banquet halls. This is pretty handy, especially since it’s close to the Nangang Industrial Park.
- Bathroom and amenities: Every room comes with a Kohler bathtub, which is pretty sweet. For toiletries, they’ve got different brands depending on your room type. Regular rooms get French DAMANA stuff, executive rooms are hooked up with Perricone MD, and if you’re in a suite, you’ll be pampered with BVLGARI goodies.
- They’ve carried A neat little detail from their Kaohsiung hotel – the bathroom mat doesn’t get stuck in the shower door. It’s one of those small things you don’t think about until it bugs you, so it’s cool they’ve paid attention to that.
- Other hotel facilities: They’ve got a swimming pool, sauna, and a gym that’s open 24/7. Pretty handy for keeping up with your workouts or just relaxing after a long day.CopyR
- Executive Lounge: This place is pretty fancy. It’s for guests staying on the executive floors (The guests who stay in a room between 24 to 26 fl) or in suites. You can use it when you check-in, and they’ve got an à la carte menu available all day.

- Jesse’s Take
- Golden Keys(Les Clefs d’O): “Grand Hilai Hotels and Resorts” has several concierges with the Les Clefs d’O status. I actually spotted one at the reception desk when I was checking in. Just to give you an idea, there are only 26 Les Clefs d’O concierges in all of Taiwan. It’s pretty impressive to have one right here in the hotel.
- Flowers everywhere: These days, you don’t see many hotels using real flowers in rooms, but Grand Hilai Taiepi goes all out. They’ve got flowers in pretty much every corner of the hotel. It takes a lot of work to keep all these flowers looking fresh.
- Here’s a cool detail – they arrange the flowers differently on each side of the elevator to help guests find their way. It’s a smart trick to keep people from getting lost on their floor.
- Convenience: The hotel’s got some great perks nearby. Right next door, on the second floor of the Taiwan Fertilizer Building, there’s a food court and a convenience store. So if you need to grab a quick bite or pick up some essentials, it’s super easy to just pop over to the building next door.

ROOM
Hotel layout: The suites are tucked away in the four corners of each floor. It’s a pretty smart setup – gives those fancy rooms some extra privacy and probably some killer views too.

Big floor-to-ceiling windows
在漢來房間主要有兩個大的面向,一個是面對汐止基隆河(一旁是南港捷運機場),一個是南港經貿園區地下為教堂游泳池。本次入住的是面對基隆河這一邊的房間。
The HiLai Hotel rooms mainly have two views. One faces the Keelung River towards Xizhi (with the Nangang MRT depot nearby), and the other looks out over the Nangang Business Park with a church and swimming pool below. I got a room facing the Keelung River this time.

Fruit platter for executive floor and suite guests.

Writing desk

If you need an adapter, you can always ask the front desk to borrow one.

I’ve got to say, this is probably one of the most comprehensive stationery sets I’ve seen in a hotel room.
Comfy bed

Bathroom

There’s a handheld showerhead in addition to the regular one.

MINI BAR
MINI BAR This is one of their standout features. They’ve got the latest Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, which is pretty cool. All the soft drinks in the fridge are free (you’ll have to pay for the alcohol ). They also throw in TWG tea bags and some snacks.

Closet
The closet is top-notch, as you’d expect in a high-end hotel. It contains umbrellas, an ironing board, an iron, shopping bags, bathrobes, shoe trees, a shoe brush, shoe polish, and even a deodorizing spray that you usually only see in Japanese hotels. This shows how much thought they’ve put into the details.

55-inch TV
The TV’s pretty cool with multiple smart TV features . It’s got screen mirroring and Chromecast, so you can easily watch YouTube or Netflix from your phone on the big screen.
The TV’s fixed facing the sofa, can’t move it. But they’ve thought ahead and left an HDMI extension cable next to it. So you can hook up your own stuff without messing with the TV. The cable’s long enough to reach the power outlets nearby too.

I used it this time since I always bring my own streaming stick when traveling.
Day and Night: Changing Light and Shadows
One cool way to really appreciate a hotel is to watch how the light changes throughout the day. It’s like the building comes alive differently as the hours pass.
This attention to detail, like watching the play of light on the buildings, is what makes staying in a nice hotel so special. It’s not just about the room—it’s about the whole experience.

Executive Lounge
If you’re staying on the executive floors(24-26 FL) or in a suite, you get access to the Executive Lounge on the 25th floor. It’s open from 7 AM to 10 PM, with hot food served from 1 PM to 8:30 PM, and Happy Hour from 5 PM to 8:30 PM.

Flowers: A Thoughtful Touch in Service
You’ll find fresh flowers in every corner of the hotel. It’s really something special because it’s pretty costly for the hotel. They’ve devised a clever way to help guests find their hotel rooms. Since the hallways on both sides of the elevator are symmetrical, it’s easy to get confused. But they use different flower arrangements on each side. As soon as you step out of the elevator, you can tell which side you’re on by looking at whether there’s one or two flower pots. Makes finding your room a breeze.
This attention to detail with the flowers really shows how much thought they’ve put into making the place feel special. It’s not just about looking pretty – it’s a smart way to help guests navigate too. And having fresh flowers in every room? That’s a luxurious touch you don’t see everywhere.

You can tell which way to go just by looking at the flowers.

Lobby Bar
The lobby bar offers all-day light meals. They also have cocktails and Japanese whiskey if you’re in the mood for a drink.
