- There are scheduled maintenance periods late at night, during which one of the south or north sides will temporarily suspend operations. You can check the operating schedule.
- During maintenance periods, shuttle buses will be required: As train services are only available on the south side of the “Non-Restricted Area,” if the south side train is under maintenance on a given day, you will not be able to take it and can instead take a shuttle bus. - **Airport MRT:** Free rides are available during MRT operating hours when using electronic payment (EasyCard, credit card).
- **Shuttle Bus:** Operates from 00:00 to 06:00 for late-night service.
- **Controlled Area**: Departure Level / Outbound Level
- **Walking:** Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected, allowing for travel on foot between them. This is also the only mode of walking available between terminals, and one typically doesn’t go the wrong way here.
- **No Tram:** The airport tram only operates on the **Arrivals level** and can only be reached by walking.
- **Restricted Area**: Arrival Level / Arrivals Hall
- **Walking:** Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are connected and can be reached by walking.
- The **airport train** (SKY TRAIN) operates from the **Arrivals level**.
- **If you have checked baggage after disembarking, do not wander around the terminals:** Please follow ground staff instructions to proceed to the corresponding terminal as your luggage will be delivered to a designated terminal. For example, regardless of which terminal EVA Air lands at, luggage is always collected at Terminal 2. Unless you are not carrying any luggage, it does not matter which terminal you choose to enter.
- Because some people asked about situations where you land at Terminal 1, but airlines like EVA Air require you to return to Terminal 2 to pick up your luggage, the answer is: you can enter the country, but you won’t be able to retrieve your luggage. Therefore, please follow the instructions of the ground staff and proceed to the designated terminal to collect your baggage.

Non-restricted Area: Airport MRT METRO
In the non-restricted areas, meaning before going through immigration and customs checks, and before checking in your luggage, you can use the MRT to travel between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (as well as the airport hotels).

For the operating and maintenance hours of the airport terminal train, if you go to the wrong place before getting your boarding pass (in the non-restricted area), please refer to the service suspension times for the South Terminal train. If service is suspended, you will need to take a shuttle bus.
Non-restricted Area: Inter-terminal Shuttle Bus / Terminal Loop Bus
The bus service is only available during late-night hours, primarily to supplement the airport train SKYTRAIN when it is undergoing maintenance, providing passengers with an alternative mode of transportation.
This is mainly to provide transportation between terminals when the terminal trains are suspended due to maintenance, and when the airport MRT is not in operation. Please look for the terminal shuttle bus.
At other times, there are no buses from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Please use alternative transportation.
